Supervisor - Inventory Control

Job Purpose:

The role holder is responsible to maintain accurate and reliable records of parts in inventory. Monitors reorder points and initiate action to replenish stocks. Reconciles discrepancies in inventories and notifies management of irregularities. The role holder is responsible to supervise the inventory control staff and may provide informal guidance.

Core Responsibilities:

• Monitors and maintains current inventory levels.
• Processes purchasing orders as required.
• Tracks orders and investigates problems.
• Records purchases, maintains inventory database, performs a physical count of inventory, and reconciles actual stock count to computer-generated reports.
• Receives, unpacks, and delivers goods; re-stocks items as necessary; labels shelves.
• Processes and/or approves invoices for payment.
• Processes and documents returns as required following established procedures.
• Performs routine clerical duties, including data entry, answering telephones, and assisting internal customers.
• May lead, guide, and train junior staff performing related work.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
   

 Required background & experience:

• Bachelor degree or equivalent
• 2 to 5 years in a related field/role, with prior supervisory experience
• Knowledge of current and best stock inventory systems
• Proven ability to work independently and with others
• Able to manage complex human relationships and culturally sensitive.
• MS Office skills
• Professional certification (preferred)
